SEO

Getting found for what you actually sell, in the places it matters. We research it properly and write it with you.

How does SEO turn into more customers?

By putting you where people are already looking. For a local business that means the three results with the little map, plus the first page of ordinary results. For an online business it is the ordinary results and the product pages behind them.

The map results come down to three things. How close you are. What is on your Google listing. And whether your address and phone number match everywhere they appear.

The ordinary results come down to something simpler. Do you have a page that actually answers what somebody searched for.

Either way, the specific is easier to win than the broad. “Dentist” is a national fight. “Same day crown in Newton” has a handful of real competitors, and often nobody with a page about it.

The order we work in.

No monthly page quota. The order matters more than the volume.

  1. 01

    Research first

What people actually search for, who you are up against, and which of your services or products have real demand behind them. For a local business we look at the surrounding towns. For an online one we look at the whole market. This decides how many pages are worth writing, which is often fewer than you would expect.

  2. 02

    Fix what is broken

Slow pages, missing titles, a site Google struggles to read, a listing that disagrees with your website. None of it is glamorous, and it is usually the fastest win available.

  3. 03

    Write the pages properly

One at a time, from a conversation with you. A page about a service should read like you explaining it, not like a page about it.

  4. 04

    Then keep going

Reviews, listings, links worth having, and new pages when the research says so. We tell you what changed each month and why we did it.

What people ask us.

How long before anything moves?
Six to ten weeks for the first real movement. Longer in a competitive market. If something on the site is plainly broken, fixing it can show up inside two weeks. That is repair, though, not progress.
Can you take over what someone else started?
Yes, and we often do. We can continue a campaign, restart it properly, or move your site somewhere new. Moving a site is where this usually goes wrong, so we plan that part first.
Does this work if I have no premises?
Yes. Online-only businesses skip the map results entirely and compete on pages, which is a different plan and often a wider one. We will tell you which of the two you are at the start.

We will look before we speak and tell you what is working, what is close, and what is not worth chasing. No charge either way.
