What we do

The work that gets you found.

Six things. Most businesses need two of them. We’ll tell you which two, and which you can leave alone. We take on a small number of clients at a time. The work only gets good when there’s room to think about it.

Not a content mill

Plenty of search companies sell a quota. So many pages a month, so many posts, built from one template and read by nobody. Every client goes through the same pipeline. That’s the only way the model works at that price.

We work with fewer clients and go deeper into each. The same people stay on your account, so somebody remembers what you said in March. Most of us came out of the trades, so we understand being careful about who you let near something you built.

What a pipeline writes

“Looking for roofing services in Worcester? Our team of experienced professionals provides top-quality roofing solutions tailored to your needs. Contact us today for a free consultation!”

What we write

“Most roofs around here are one of two types, and the surprise is usually the decking underneath rather than the roof itself. We will tell you which one you have before we quote, because it changes the job.”

Straight answers

None of this is a guarantee. It’s what we watch, and roughly when it moves, so you can tell early whether the work is doing anything.

How soon does anything change?
Ads bring inquiries within days. A Google listing usually moves in two to three weeks. Search work takes six to ten weeks to show anything real, then keeps building. Anyone promising rankings in two weeks is selling you the first month on repeat.
What do you actually measure?
Calls, form inquiries, and people asking for directions. Not visits. Not how many people saw you. If nothing more is coming in, a number going up does not mean much.
How much of my time does this take?
About an hour a month once it is running. More in the first couple of weeks. The things only you know cannot be researched. What you want more of, what you turn down, how you price it.
What happens if it is not working?
We tell you before you ask, and we say what we would change. If something is wrong for your business, that is the answer you get.
Am I tied in?
No. Month to month. You own the site, the domain, the accounts and everything written. If you leave, we help you move it.
Process

How we work.

No two look the same, because no two businesses want the same work. What does not change is the order: understand, research, plan.

  1. 01We learn the businessBefore anything is written or built, we want to know what work you actually want more of, what you turn down, what a good customer looks like, and what you have already tried. Most of this comes out of one conversation.
  2. 02We research the marketWe look at who is currently winning the searches you want, what they are doing to hold that position, and where the gaps are. This is the part that decides everything after it, and it is the part most agencies skip.
  3. 03We build the plan around youA roofer in a storm season and a dentist filling a schedule need different things. You get a ranked list of what to do first, what it should achieve, and what we would leave until later.
  4. 04We do the work and show itOne report a month, written in plain English, covering what we did, what changed, and what is next. If something is not working we say so before you have to ask.

Where your site lives

WordPress

Most local businesses are already on it. We can take yours over as it stands, or build a new one.

Shopify

For anyone selling online. Set up, tidied up, and made to show in search rather than just look right.

Boutique

Built from scratch by our engineer when a platform would hold you back. Faster, and no limit on what it can do.

Start with a conversation

Twenty minutes. We ask about the business, look at where you stand now, and tell you what we would do. No slides, nothing to sign. Every one includes a free SEO audit, yours to keep either way.

What we will ask

  • 01What kind of work do you want more of?
  • 02Where do your customers come from now?
  • 03What have you tried, and what happened?
  • 04How many jobs a month could you take on?
