Marketing Specialist, New Graduate
A first role for someone finishing a degree who wants to learn search marketing properly, on real accounts, from week one.
This is a genuine entry-level role. We are not looking for three years of experience described as entry level. If you are finishing a degree, or finished one recently, and you are curious about how businesses get found online, that is the starting point.
You will work on real client accounts from the first month, with someone senior reviewing everything before it goes out. Most of our clients are trades and local service businesses across New England: roofers, plumbers, dentists, restaurants. You will speak to them, and you will see the results of what you do in their phone ringing.
Hybrid means roughly three days a week in our Brighton office. The in-person days matter early on, because most of what you will learn in the first year is learned by overhearing it.
What you would do
- Keyword and competitor research for new client accounts
- Writing and editing on-page content, service pages and articles
- Setting up and maintaining Google Business Profiles
- Running site audits and turning them into a ranked list of fixes
- Pulling monthly reporting together and writing the plain-English summary
- Sitting in on client calls, and eventually running them
What we need
- A degree completed, or completing within the year, in any subject
- Clear written English. This is most of the job
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and willing to learn new tools quickly
- Able to work from our Brighton office around three days a week
- Authorised to work in the United States
What helps, but is not required
- Any hands-on experience with SEO, Google Ads or analytics, including your own projects
- Familiarity with WordPress
- A second language
- Having worked in a trade, a restaurant or retail. You will understand our clients faster
How to apply.
Email contact@myrtlestreetmedia.com with your CV and a few lines about why this role. No cover letter template, and no portfolio required for either position. We reply to everyone who applies, including the people we do not take forward.
